  • How long will it take to get my website up and running?
    It really depends on they website you want and Fred's current workload. Simple website with 4-5 pages will take approximately 2 weeks. More complex site with 8 - 10 pages will take 3-4 weeks. We try and manage expectations as realistically as possible and will tell you up front what timeframe we are able to deliver in.
  • Which website platform should I use?
    It's completely up to you. Fred will chat you through the different platforms with you and allow you some time to do you own research. Once you have decided on a platform, simply sign up for a new account and make Fred a collaborator so he can jump in and start preparing the platform. Fred makes websites on Wordpress, Wix, Go Daddy and Squarespace so whichever site you decide on, Fred is good to go.
  • Will I be able to manage the website once it's completed?
    Yes. Once the site is complete, we will arrange a 1:1 handover session where we run you through the site layout and management tools. If you need additional sessions, no problem - you're covered. We offer support for up to 30 days once your site goes live where you can contact us anytime to ask questions and provide assistance. After that, we're still here to help. Just reach out and we'll see what we can do.
  • Can I contribute to my website?
    Of course. Fred loves to collaborate with clients but also understands how important your time is. During the initial meeting, you will have the opportunity to share your ideas and examples of features, images and other websites that you like. We will also need you to answer some questions about you, your business and your objectives so we can write your website content and accurately capture your brand personality and tone.
  • Can you update an existing website?
    Yes. In some cases, it might be easier to start from scratch but Fred is happy to assess your existing site and provide recommendations.
  • Who writes the website content?
    In a nutshell, we both do. After your initial meeting , Fred will send you some questions for you to complete about you and your business. Based on the information you have provided, Fred will write the draft copy. This will be shared with you to review and provide feedback. Once the copy is approved, Fred will start working on the building your website.
  • Do we need to meet in person?
    Not really. Fred is happy to arrange "virtual" meetings via Google Meet so we can chat in person, review the website together and collaborate.
  • Can you manage my site for me?
    Absolutely. Whatever your needs Fred can arrange a cost effective solution to maintain your site for as little or much as necessary.
  • What is SEO and is it important for my website?
    SEO stands for search engine optimisation and determines how easily findable, relevant and popular your website is towards user search enquiries on Google. It involves a number of processes within your website that optimise your website's technical configuration, content relevance and link popularity. And yes, it's very important.
